1 lb (4 sticks) butter
3 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tablespoon vanilla
4 large eggs
4 cups flour

4 cups boiling water
½ large yellow onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced fine
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp cocoa powder
