Corel Home Office Pros
This program is a great tiny alternative to Microsoft Office. This flash drive based program will help fill in the gaps of your netbook’s functionality. The commands are located in ribbons and groups just as Microsoft 2007 applications. Anyone who uses MS on a regular basis will feel right at home. As far as memory and storage space, Corel Home Office uses a very thin margin compared to MS Office. This is the main reasn it is ideal for netbooks. It’s operational footprint is a mere 107MB of disk space.
Corel Home Office Cons
It doesn’t have all the advanced features that full-version programs have. It is also lacking in font support. This is to be expected in an application that is run off of a flash drive. When saving files, I had to be sure to save it as the original file format instead of the Corel type format. Even though Corel may read MS files, the compatibility is not mutual.
