I wish she would keep it on the paper

November 12, 2009

I forgot about the coloring on the walls stage. She just turned five and my mental developmental clock still has not adjusted to her delayed schedule. Yesterday, she turned my house into her personal canvas. She did not neglect her body, either. I had to write a note to her teacher: Bear does not have a rash, she colored on herself with a red marker.

After taking these photos, I did a scrub down of all of our cabinetry. How does it get dirty so quickly? White cabinets are not made for a house that cooks multiple times per day. Quick N Brite saves me every time. It’s not product placement. I buy it at the fair every year. The pink paste cuts the greasy gunk off my cabinet doors with little elbow grease. For everything else, I swear by Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day All Purpose Cleaner. Both are all natural products. Which is great because it means I can feel safe about making my kids clean up their own messes!

In other news, my Creative Memories Wordless Wednesday collage won a prize! I won in the “Most Unique Use of Photos” category.

I haven’t heard of either of those products. we’ll look for them. Robin swears by the Mr Clean Magic Eraser. I have no affiliation with them, mind you, but they are able to clean up and the smudges, marks, scrapes and stains from our floors, walls, and counters that having a child, cooking, and drinking LOTS of wine causes!

Smart idea to notify the teacher. Otherwise, you could get some kind of weird letter back from her!
