Poi

September 3, 2008

Fluffy is an information nut like her mama. She got two Magic Treehouse audiobooks (finally a kids meal premium that is worthwhile) a couple weeks ago and has listened to them a dozen times each. Her favorite is High Tide in Hawaii. Mary Pope Osborne has done a great job of weaving facts into the fantasy storyline. For some reason, Fluffy wrapped her head around the mention of the aboriginal food, poi. Poi is ground Taro root mixed with seasonal fruit. Watch this video to see Fluffy’s reaction when she tasted poi for the first time at a Hawaiian restaurant yesterday.

I concur with her analysis. Icky.

Can’t see it? Sorry, I only leave videos up for 24 hours.

Filmed with a Flip Mino.

OMG, that face was too much. And the voice that choked out “poi” as if it were permanently stuck in her throat is still making me giggle. Poor kid. Wait til she tries pate. UGGG
